Nomsa (pronounced nohm-suh) is an African word meaning, "Open Heart".
Nomsa started as a group of friends wanting to live out Jesus' love.
As we've worked, we've learned. As we've served, we've grown.
Right now our focus is meeting basic needs of the homeless, with the ultimate goal of creating sustainable, holistic change in the lives of our friends without homes.
Nomsa is about bringing resources and lives together put an end to perpetual and involuntary homelessness in America.
It may be naive ambition, BUT...
It's not too big of a problem.
We can solve the problem through living in community.
Nomsa's heart is to love genuinely, in such a way that lives cannot help but to be changed.
